Practicing yoga has many benefits.
It can improve your posture, flexibility and strength, as well as working to ease arthritis and back pain.
The discipline, which originated in India, can also help with stress, and increase your mood and energy levels.
But you don’t have to tell the dog in this viral video all that; they already practice yoga alongside their owner.
In the clip, which was shared on video site Rumble, the sweet French Bulldog can be seen next to a woman on a carpet.
Side by side the woman, who is wearing a long-sleeved shirt and black exercise leggings, and her blonde canine, rather ironically, perform a Downward-Facing Dog Pose.
This position, called Adho Mukha Svanasana in Sanskrit, involves having your palms and feet on the mat and your hips in the air, with a straight back.
In the nine-second clip the animal holds the pose next to the woman, until she then moves into the Upward-Facing Dog, which they then also copy.
This position, officially known as Urdhva Mukha Svanasana, opens the chest and shoulders, and strengthens arms.
The adorable video is captioned: “French Bulldog perfectly mimics owner’s yoga moves,” and was posted to Rumble on May 4, by Danielle Robinson.
So far it has been viewed over 8,986 times. However, it is filmed on Furbo, which is a dog camera.
For this reason, there is a time and date in the corner of the screen, showing that it was in fact shot back in March 15, 2019.
But this Frenchie is not the only animal who appears to be engaging in human exercises, as this clip that recently went viral on Twitter of a cat appearing to do sit-ups shows.
In footage posted by @AnimalsWorld, a white fluffy feline is filmed on a sidewalk, lying on their back and raising their head forwards and backwards in a move that mimics abdominal crunches.
The humorous video was captioned: “Working on that summer body,” and was accompanied by two laughing face emojis.
The six-second clip has now been viewed over 162,000 times and attracted more than 8,300 likes.
Many took to the social media site to share their views on the hilarious video.
One Twitter user, @eitsbukansabun, commented: “share you positive energy puss!”
Another person, @jiminieesfilter, found the footage especially relatable, captioning the content: “Me in 2020.”
A third, @insaneisgone, joked: “Darn…summer is coming. And 1 and 2 and 3.”
Some felt that the cat may actually be injured, however social media user @ArrozOwO wrote: “It’s licking it’s chest, at least trying to, basically trying to take a shower in a weird way.”
